Airlines serving the Milan area are landing at THREE airports.

Buses from the Airports to Conference hotels (on Wednesday, June 1)

Free buses organized by the conference will be available on June 1 from the following Milan airports: Milano Linate and Milano Malpensa.

Wednesday, June 1

  • From Malpensa airport – Terminal 1: bus 52 seats at 11.30, 15.00, 19.30 and 23.00.
    Local Assistance: Leaving the baggage claim area, you will enter the “ARRIVALS”. Look for Exit 7 (inside the building). There will be a person holding a sign with HEAL 2016 on it. Please be patient and wait for her assistance.
  • From Linate airport: bus 52 seats at 11.30, 15.00, 19.30 and 23.00.
    Local Assistance: Leaving the baggage claim area, on your right look for the “INFORMAZIONI /INFORMATION DESK” a person holding a sign with HEAL 2016 on it will be waiting there. Be patient and wait for her assistance.
  • From Bergamo Orio al Serio airport: please inform us (ingrid@mizarconventions.com) if your flight is landing in Bergamo and we will try to optimize the transportation to Como taking into account the flight schedules of other registrants.

Buses from the Conference Center to the Airports (on Saturday, June 4)

Buses will leave at 14:00 from Villa Erba Congress Center to the Malpensa and Linate airports.

Airport Connections

From Milano MALPENSA airport to COMO (distance: about 35 km).

Malpensa Express trains connect Malpensa directly with the centre of Milan (Milano Cadorna or Milano Centrale Railway Station). Trains depart every 20-30 minutes, the journey takes about 40 minutes. At the Milano Cadorna or Milano Centrale Railway Station you can catch trains to COMO (see train details below).

From Malpensa it is also possible to take the Malpensa Express train to Saronno and change here for the Ferrovie Nord Milano train for COMO Lago. Outside the station is the bus stop for line CC6, COMO-Maslianico, run by ASF;  alight at Villa Erba. The journey is around 4km.

From Milano LINATE airport to COMO (distance: about 50 km)

Catch the bus “Air Bus Linate – Centrale” to Milano Centrale Railway Station – departures from the arrivals floor – that leaves from 6.30 am to 11.30 pm every 30 minutes. The ticket costs € 5.00 and can be bought on board. At Milano Centrale railway Station, you can catch the train to Como San Giovanni (see train details below).

From Bergamo ORIO AL SERIO airport to COMO

Catch a bus to Milano Stazione Centrale (Milano Centrale Railway Station), it leaves every about 20 minutes from 4.00 am. The ticket costs about € 7.00. At the Milano Cadorna or Milano Centrale Railway Station you can catch trains to Como (see train details below).

By train from Milano
From Milano Centrale Railway Station or Milano Porta Garibaldi Railway Station

Trenitalia: Departures from Milano Centrale or from Milano Porta Garibaldi, destination Chiasso, alight at COMO San Giovanni. Outside the station to reach the bus stop for line CC6, COMO-Maslianico: walk 20mt down the hill and cross the; alight at Villa Erba. The journey is around 5km.

From Milano Cadorna Railway Station

Ferrovie Nord Milano: Departures from Piazza Cadorna, Milan, train for COMO Lago; alight at the last stop, COMO Lago. Outside the station is the bus stop for line CC6, COMO-Maslianico; alight at Villa Erba. The journey is around 4km.

By car

From Milan

Take the A9 Milan-Chiasso motorway; take the Como Nord exit (the last exit within Italian borders); then follow the signs to Villa Erba. Our multi-storey car park is 200m from the Conference Centre.

From Lugano

Take the Lugano-Milan motorway; take the Cernobbio Lago exit about 200 meters past customs.

Call for papers

Please send your abstract as an e-mail attachment to  using the abstract form (in Word for Windows) which can be downloaded from this web site. Abstracts sent by fax or mail will not be considered.

Submission deadline: February 10, 2016.

On receipt of the abstract a confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address of the corresponding author. Acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be notified to the e-mail address of the corresponding author by March 11, 2016.

Instructions

  •     The abstract must be in English;
  •     The abstract should not exceed 300 words;
  •     Please use MS Word for Windows;
  •     Write the title in bold type and please use capitals only at the start of each sentence;

The name(s) of the author(s), the institution and the town must be written in bold type. The authors name must be indicated in full (e.g. Smith Paul). Please use Arabic numbers to list different affiliations. Reference numbering should indicate which authors belong to each Institute/Hospital or Department mentioned on the field affiliation of all authors.

Once an abstract is accepted, the presenting author must submit a paid registration for the conference. Note that only one abstract may be accepted per registered presenter. Failure to register will result in automatic withdrawal of your paper from the conference program.

Exhibition

Various types of exhibiting spaces and sponsorship opportunities will be available. Ample time will be allowed for all attendees to visit the exhibits and speak with exhibit representatives. The program schedule is arranged to maximize contact among participants.

A path through the exhibition area will be set up, so that all delegates coming to and from the meeting rooms and the registration area will have to go through. The coffee breaks and lunches will be served in the exhibition area.

Cancellation and refunds

Notice of cancellation of registration must be made by fax (+39 049 860 2389) to the Conference Secretariat, Meet and Work srl. Cancellation made by May 1, 2016 will result in a 50% cancellation penalty. The Conference Secretariat regrets that no refunds will be possible for cancellations received after May 1, 2016. All refunds will be processed after the conference.
